After blasting or ripping the bauxite ore at the Succesor Mines (Klaverblad, Kaaimangrasie and Caramacca Mines), it is loaded with 40 ton Hitachi excavators in 35 ton Terex Articulated Dump Trucks and transported to the stockpile area nearby. This is the first time in Surinamese history that Bauxite Ore lifting and stockpiling is exclusively done by a independent contractor. Continous attention to detail is needed to insure the quality of the delivered ore.
